I hate silent calls
Called at 9:00am on 10/13/2010. Caller ID showed "Loan Mod Dept." The recording basically wanted me to refinance a loan of some kind. I'm on the DNC and so filed a complaint with the FTC and blocked their number on my call management device. Area code seems to be from Billings Montana, but could be from anywhere with spoofed numbers and caller ID. Couldn't find any reliable info as to who they really are. Clearly a scam and violating more than one law.
Thye have been calling for the past few days, i finally answered, tellemarketer. But if i am on teh do not call list how do they get my number?

We/'ve received unwanted calls from this number. I believe they claim to be doing some survey. We are on do not call list and would respect that being enforced.
Yea, I just got a call as well and they DID leave a message, but it was automated. Its a security company asking if they could put a sign in my yard and, if so, they would install a security system in my house for free....because we ALL know things in life are "free" lol
Anyway, I'm a cop and was issued an extremely cheap security system for intruders that only requires me to use my index finger so, no need to pay these guys :-)

I keep receiving calls saying that if I don’t call them back they will come to my home or my place of work. They never say what company they are from, and they also leave the wrong name on the answer machine.
Spoofed scam call trying to get your personal information to sell to other scammers.
This number has been calling for days. Montana area code. Pretty sure it's SCAM Central calling.

Called my cell in the AM. Called back later in the day. Got a message. It said I had recently visited one of their associated web sites and they were calling to offer me a $100 gift certificate, as stated above. I was advised to press #1 for further contact. I have not used this number for web activities.
Call ID service says this is a scammer targeting Duval County currently
Called me to my mobile, did not leave any messages. I called them back: answering machine without any delay. Some kind of rewards redeem center that wanted to offer me $100 voucher redeemable at Walmart, Home Depot, and other stores.
Thank you for posting. Of course, there is no rewards program that is affiliated with all these rival retailers, so clearly some type of scam. Appreciate you posting to alert people. I have blocked the number.
